In the morning we had workout that consisted of 4 miles @ 20K race pace, 2miles at 10K race pace, followed by 8X120m hills repeats on the cyinder track at prittchet field.
I did the whole workout with Patrick. We shared the lead, taking it every 3 laps then sitching off for the 4miler. We ran 21:57, just a few seconds fast than coach instructed(22:00).
Then on the 2miles we traded off every 800m. I ran 10:40 and Pat finished with 10:44 I believe.
After coach saw how some of the other guys struggled to finish the workout, he backed everyone off the hills a little bit and said to do 4-6 repeats versus 8. I came out there to do 8 repeats though and 8 repeats is what I did.
Turned out to be an alright workout, although I wasn't quite as comfortable as I would have liked to have been.
The mileage totaled about 10 after warm ups and cool downs so that capped off a 73 mile week for me which was also solid.
