Boy oh boy I crushed the hell out of this workout.
We met at Forest Hills, which is a neighborhood we run most of our twempo runs in town. It's a two mile loop with the first mile being mostly down hill and the second being mostly uphill.
Jesse said for ke to run 5:50 for 8miles and if i felt good to run 10. I never planned on running 8 though.
I split 5:58, 5:48 (11:46), 5:42(17:29), 5:36(23:05), missed the 5mile split but it was a 5:34 average for this loop, 6miles at 34:13, 5:34 (39:48), 5:34 (45:23), 5:38 (51:02), 5:27 (56:29). 5:39 pace for the run.
I just got into a zone out there, for a while it was even effortless to run this fast. I think I could run another minute faster next time we do this workout. I'm in phenominal shape. Next week we start doing quicker workouts so I know I'm going to be running super fast here in a few weeks if all goes right. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Patrick ran well too, he ran 57:04 (2mintue PR for him).
